Paddock Maintenance

Being horse owners ourselves we know how important it is to look after your grazing area to ensure continuation of healthy growth.

Harrowing & Rolling your paddock recommended in early spring which repairs winter damage, harrowing also aerates the soil and removes dead grass and small rooted weeds.

Harrowing & Rolling should also be repeated in late summer, early autumn to prepare the ground for winter months and assist recovery.

Late spring / summer apply fertiliser to encourage grass growth

We have a compact tractor with a mounted boom sprayer to apply weed killer, this ideally needs to be applied during early growth of the weeds around late spring, summer to control thistles, nettles etc

Paddock Topping to keep the grass to a shorter length which encourages the growth of better quality grass
